My veterinary referred me to VOSM after my dog started having difficulties using her back legs. My vet told me that if her dog needed care in this area, that VOSM is where she'd go. My veterinary referred me to VOSM after my dog started having difficulties using her back legs. My vet told me that if her dog needed care in this area, that VOSM is where she'd go. I live just over 2 hrs away from them, but it was well worth the drive! They very quickly got her an appointment set for exactly 1 week later, and reserved a spot for an MRI if needed. The check in process was simple when I arrived and they were very thorough taking the time to hear what I had been seeing in Riley. Dr. Gallagher did his exam and reviewed her x rays and actually came out to the car to talk to us about what he was seeing. He wasn't rushing through it either like I've experienced at other practices - he really took his time explaining each possible cause for Riley's ailment, and discussing what he'd like to do do next for her and why. He called me personally after her MRI, and also came out to the car again because he wanted us to see the images from the MRI to help explain what they were seeing. I truly felt they cared about Riley and her well-being; they were very professional and provided excellent care. Thank you all! - read less

The vet came out to speak with me after the exam and took his time to explain his findings and recommendations. I felt like my baby was in good hands! I was very disturbed by a negative rating of VOSM that the owner of a patient had . She complained about the $$$$$ and how they 'couldn't' accommodate 'her' schedule for a follow-up. I have had ZERO problems with the scheduling aspect of their practices. As far as dishing out the money goes, the way I saw it was I would rather have my high-energy, very tightly-wound dog go through procedures to diagnose and treat medical problems ONCE, and make the problem as invisible as possible ONCE, instead of just taking him to another vet, getting a band aid 'fix' and have my $$$$ wasted, since the dog would still be in pain. I have had '2' major procedures done by '2' different DR's at VOSM in the past year, and BOTH times they very effectively diagnosed the problems and, with the very LEAST amount of disruption were able to very effectively address my dog's problems, AND it was while thoroughly explaining the entire scenario in terms I could UNDERSTAND repeatedly until they knew I understood and could be on board with it. The night crew there and front desk people UNDERSTAND a human's agnst and fright and ALWAYS spoke in understanding tones and got me through to the right person for updates on how my dog was faring in the immediate hours after his surgeries. I am sure VOSM does their level best to keep fees limited to the very basic minimum amounts, but to tell you the truth, to get quality and effective service from ANY resource, one should NOT be surprised to be charged ACCORDINGLY. The woman who was complaining evidently did not take into consideration their other patients, other DR's , other aspects of care a d treatment, including surgeries, and their fine way of making the processes almost perfectly SEAMLESS. I would go back there in a heartbeat for ANY serious condition my dog was dealing with, AND I LIVE ALMOST 3 HOURS' DRIVE AWAY.. - read less
