Dr. David Mason is a 1999 graduate of the Royal Veterinary College and completed a small animal surgical residency at Iowa State University in 2004. He became board certified with both the ACVS and ECVS upon completion of his residency. He is presently a small animal surgeon, Chief of Staff and partner at the Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center.
He has been involved with numerous orthopaedic research projects and publications, including much of the formative research on sliding humeral osteotomy (SHO), joint replacement, and postoperative pain studies. He has presented much of this work at ACVS and VOS conferences and frequently gives lectures and laboratories in the United States. His particular interests in orthopaedics include minimally invasive fracture repair/locking plate applications, elbow dysplasia, and arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Mason comes to VOSM to perform surgeries for orthopedic and sports-related injuries.
