Veterinary Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Group (VOSM) is the premier veterinary orthopedic specialty practice in the United States. VOSM was established in 2005 to provide a standard of care and service in veterinary orthopedics, sports medicine, physical rehabilitation and spine health that rivals and surpasses what is available to humans.
We are currently looking for a full time surgical technician (RVT/LVT/CVT preferred but not required). Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, venipuncture, I.V. catheter placement, restraining and lifting patients, induction and monitoring of patient anesthesia in a multitude of situations, usage of equipment properly, obtaining pre and post-op radiographs, cleaning and sterilizing of surgical instruments, prepping the OR’s and treatment areas for procedures, processing blood, tissue, and other samples properly to be sent out for testing, running our in house laboratory machines, calculating and drawing up drugs, prepping patients for surgery , and assisting the surgeon while in the operating room. Assisting the surgeon (while in the OR) includes: scrubbing in, setting up of the surgical table, and being hands-on during the orthopedic and neurologic surgeries such as fractures, arthroscopies, ventral slots, and hemi- laminectomies.
Surgeries are performed Monday-Thursday and in case of emergency, Fridays and Saturdays. Morning, evening, and on-call hours are required.
At least 2 years of veterinary experience (willing to train surgical aspects of the position for the right candidate).
Must possess ability to accurately calculate, draw up, and administer IV, IM, and SQ drugs,
Must possess ability to monitor anesthesia, record patient vitals, and relay information
Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization is preferred
Must be willing to be trained in scrubbing and assisting the surgeon during various orthopedic and neurologic surgeries.
Willing to learn and possibly train others (desire for continued growth and education)
Must be able to life 50lbs
Must possess excellent team player skills (apt in communicating and assisting coworkers)
Must be self motivated , able to work independently and have a great attention to detail.
Must be comfortable in a fast paced environment and helping other departments when necessary.

Rehabilitation therapy assistants are responsible for assisting our dedicated canine rehabilitation therapy team with patients. Responsibilities include client communication, gathering patient history, assisting with all therapy modalities, safe patient handling/restraint, and a positive attitude.
In-clinic training is available to qualified, enthusiastic individuals.
This is a full-time position during rehabilitation therapy department hours, Monday through Saturday.

This position welcomes both full-time and part-time applicants. Hours for this position range from 6:30am to close of business, Monday through Saturday. Availability to work Saturday shifts in rotation schedule is required.

Our team of exceptional staff members is responsible for ensuring the highest level of medical care from our client's first call in to our facility throughout their entire course of treatment with us.

Patient, compassionate individual willing to work with dogs of many different ages, breeds, sizes, temperaments, and health statuses.
Weekend, holiday, and evening shifts are required for this position. Kennel assistant is a part-time position with flexible hours.
Recovery
Recovery positions are responsible for monitoring post-operative patients, placing catheters and administering medications as well as general hospital duties - previous ICU or recovery ward experience is required. Overnight and weekend positions are available in the recovery ward.
Surgery
Surgery positions are responsible for conducting pre-operative patient assessments, administering anesthetics and assisting with intubation, maintaining appropriate levels of anesthesia during surgery, following up on patients after they have been anesthetized, calculating and administering various CRI's, providing basic maintenance of anesthesia machines, assistance in surgical pack preparation and patient prep, assisting as scrub nurse during orthopedic and neurologic procedures.
